Tiago Miguel Baía Pinto (born 1 February 1988 in Porto) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Rio Ave F.C. as a left defender.
He is the oldest son of João Vieira Pinto, whom successfully represented S.L. Benfica, Sporting Clube de Portugal and the Portuguese national team.
After receiving his first football lessons at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, although father João was already playing for neighbours Sporting Clube de Portugal, Pinto soon made the same move and completed his formation at the José Alvalade Stadium.
In 2007–08, he was loaned to C.D. Olivais e Moscavide, in the third level, repeating the predicament in the following campaign, with top level newcomers C.D. Trofense.
In September 2009, Pinto cut ties with Sporting and signed with Sporting de Braga. During the season, he failed to appear officially as the Minho side finished in second position, being released and joining fellow first-divisioner Rio Ave FC.
